Big Green Egg Live Cooks with Meat Smoke Fire

For the last five years, we have cooked live on our Instagram feed, cooking well in excess of 450 recipes. We'll be back to cook some more, but at the moment we're taking a little time out.

When we're back you can watch live by following us on Instagram at @MeatSmokeFire. You need to log into Instagram, and you'll be notified that we're doing a live video as soon as we start at 11:30 am.

The beauty of these live cooks is you get to interact, ask questions relevant to the cook or anything to do with the Big Green Egg or your grill.  We cook three dishes, share how we do them and then publish the recipes.

Our cooks are:

  • Rotisserie Stuffed Turkey Crown - a boned and rolled turkey crown stuffed with chorizo, apple, and shallots, cooked on the rotisserie. It's an absolute winner.

Saturday 28th October 2023 - Halloween and Bonfire Night

With Halloween and Bonfire Night upon us, we wanted to cook some easy, hearty, and warming dishes that can be enjoyed inside or out.

Our cooks are:

  • Criss-Cross Dogs - taking the humble Frankfurter and injecting flavour and texture. They're a winner, even Mrs Meat Smoke Fire likes them!
  • Chilli-loaded baked potatoes - the Egg makes the best baked potatoes and smoked chilli, why not combine the two?
  • Squash fondue - who doesn't like oozy cheese with crusty bread? Now add all of that and bake it inside a squash.
