Have you ever considered using your Big Green Egg as a tandoor oven?
The LetzQ Tandoor Ring is a stainless ring that replaces your Egg's cap, and comes with six stainless steel skewers. This allows you to easily hang six skewer securely from your Egg's chimney. Each of the six skewers are crimped along their length to provide friction for whatever you are cooking on them, although we recommend snaking the skewer through your meat, to make sure it doesn't fall off.
The ring is designed with a restricted opening, making controlling your Egg's temperature from the bottom vent simple. Achieving temps of 250°C, perfect for tandoor chicken, is very simple. It's cut to hold the skewers from their ring tops.
The whole set can be cleaned in the dishwasher as it is stainless steel.

Nic Williams –
The best way to cook tandoor chicken. Once I saw it, I knew it was the right way to be doing it. The results are just superb.

Nice bit of kit but how do you remove the regulator from the egg? I’ve tried everything
Nic Williams –
Aaron, warm your Egg up and then either lever it off with your fingers, or get a wooden spatula between the top of the chimney and the underside of your rEGGulator and gently lever it. This should break the seal caused by lots of condensed grease.
It’s a good idea to remove your rEGGulator once a month to stop it sticking.
Let me know if this helps.
