Our experience’s with the range
We’ve been involved with OFYR since its UK launch at the Chelsea Flower Show in 2016. At the time, Nic was working for Alfresco Concepts, the franchisee at the time of OFYR and Big Green Egg. Nic worked both the Big Green Egg and OFYR trade stands that year, introducing people to the OFYR.
Nic has also demoed the OFYR at Taste of London, Pub in the Park with Tom Kerridge, and at many of Big Green Egg’s resellers.Â
We soon had our own OFYR Classic 100 at our Meat Smoke Fire base, even before we opened the cookery school. We still have it.
We also have an OFYR Tabl’O which we have used many times while away camping, as well as at home.
In 2024, we added the brand new OFYR 75 to our cookery school and have used it in about every class since it arrived. We love the smaller OFYR 75 Corten as it’s a little more compact, and so heats up faster and uses less wood. The downside is the cooking area is smaller.
We have also owned an OFYR kitchen island for the Big Green Egg, and will probably own another soon.
