As of 1st October 2026, the Large and Extra Large Big Green Eggs will ship standard with the Dual Zone Deflector Essential kit. This kit replaces the ConvEGGtor and full moon stainless steel grid with a sturdier basket and half-moon surfaces.
As standard, you can now use your Egg to cook either fully direct (straight over the coals), fully indirect (using your Egg like an oven), or a mixture of both where you go half direct, half indirect.
The new Dual Zone set-up is a huge step forward.
