When you’re working over live fire, you’re close to the heat. You’re lifting hot grids, turning food and catching the odd spit of fat. A good apron means you can get stuck in without worrying about your clothes.

We’ve kept the range small, and we use everything we sell:

• Meat Smoke Fire Leather Apron with butcher straps. The straps cross your back instead of hanging round your neck, so it stays comfortable through a long, low and slow cook.
• Meat Smoke Fire Waxed Look Denim Apron. A lighter everyday option with a rugged, waxed finish.
