Take it anywhere
The MiniMax sits in a sturdy carrier with easy-grip handles, so it's simple to move around the garden or lift into the boot. Always stand it on a stable surface that can't burn.
The ConvEGGtor in the box turns it into an oven: drop it in to roast, bake and smoke with indirect heat, or take it out to grill straight over the coals.
Because it's small and heats up fast, it's also the perfect second Egg. Light the MiniMax for a quick midweek cook and save the big Egg for the weekend.
Is the MiniMax right for you?
We own two. One lives in our campervan, the other does quick, small cooks. It's ready in as little as 10 minutes, sips charcoal, and has handled lobster, paella and a full rack of beef short ribs. The Mighty MiniMax is a fair nickname.
It's ideal for couples, small gardens, camping and as a second Egg. If you regularly cook for four or more at home, look at the Large.

Why we're different
Nic spent a decade working with Big Green Egg, recruiting resellers and demonstrating the Egg at shows, before he and Helena set up Meat Smoke Fire in Cambridge. We're the only Big Green Egg reseller regularly cooking live online, and most other resellers don't have our cooking experience.
So when you call, you're talking to people who use everything we sell, every week. We'd rather sell you the right Egg and nothing you don't need.
Delivery
Your Egg comes with exactly the same free standard delivery as buying direct:
- Free to mainland UK addresses
- Delivered on a date you choose, usually within 5 to 7 working days
- Kerbside, on a pallet, from a lorry with a tail lift, so you'll need an extra pair of hands to move it into the garden
- Check your Egg before you sign for it, and note any damage on the delivery note
- Surcharges apply to some areas, including Northern Ireland, the Scottish Highlands and islands, the Isle of Wight and the Isle of Man
Warranty
Exactly the same Big Green Egg warranty as buying direct, for as long as you own the Egg:
- Lifetime: the ceramic base, dome, firebox and fire ring
- 5 years: the metal parts, including the bands, hinge, rEGGulator, fire grate, draft door and stainless steel grid
- 3 years: the ConvEGGtor
- 1 year: the gasket and the Tel-Tru thermometer

Why can't I add the MiniMax to my basket?
We sell our Eggs by phone and email rather than through the checkout. It only takes a few minutes, and it means we can check you've got the right base and accessories before your Egg is delivered. Call 07446 960303, request a callback or email hello@meatsmokefire.co.uk.
Will I pay more than buying direct from Big Green Egg?
No. The RRP is £925, and that's the most you'll pay. Talk to us before you buy direct: whether it's our price or what we include, we'll make it worth your while.
Are the delivery and warranty the same as buying direct?
Yes, exactly the same. You get the same free standard delivery and the same Big Green Egg lifetime warranty on the ceramics. We're a Big Green Egg Associate Dealer, so your warranty is fully valid.
Does the MiniMax need a base?
No. It comes in its own carrier, which works as its stand. Just make sure it's on a stable surface that can't burn. If you'd like it at standing height, see our nests and stands.
Does the MiniMax come with the Dual Zone kit?
No, the Dual Zone kits are made for the Large and XL. The MiniMax comes with a ConvEGGtor, which lets you cook indirect, like an oven, as well as straight over the coals.
Can I take the MiniMax camping?
Yes, that's what the carrier is for. One of ours lives in our campervan. Let it cool completely before you pack it away.
