The HORL® 3 is the latest technological benchmark of the HORL® Sharpener family. It is made from ocean-bound plastic and with its matching sandy colour. The grinding discs are pre-installed and fixed so cannot be swapped for alternative grinding discs.
The HORL3 Cruise has two grinding angles, which give your knives a fresh sharpness. The backlash-free rolling feeling is created by the press assembly and the built-in ball bearings. The new HORL® Grip Pad is developed for even stronger power to affix the smallest knives to the angle support. The HORL® discs are made from block diamonds to be even more abrasive to ensure fast grinding and uniform grinding pattern.

20° GRINDING ANGLE
FOR A ROBUST SHARPNESS
Use the 20° grinding angle to build a sharp edge on your European knives. The 20° angle is suited to these knives and will give a lasting sharp edge. This angle is also suitable for outdoor and pocket knives.
15° GRINDING ANGLE
FOR FILIGREE SHARPNESS
Japanese, and exceptionally fine blades of Damascus, or high-quality carbon steel, will benefit from the 15° grinding angle. These blades are manufactured from much harder steel, holding their sharp edge much longer than a standard steel knife would ground to this finer angle.Â

Grinding Disc
The standard diamond disc is pre-installed on all HORL ® sharpeners. You can use it to grind knives of any hardness efficiently and give them a high-quality sharpness. This is ensured by its extremely durable block diamonds.
Stainless Steel Disc
After processing with the HORL® Diamond Standard, the stainless steel honing disc ensures a smooth knife edge. Only a few movements with the integrated grooves remove any grinding dust.

The block diamonds on the standard diamond disc achieve up to 80% more steel removal compared to the HORL ®2 version. This makes sharpening even faster and results in a more uniform grinding pattern.
GRIP PAD
The HORL® Grip Pad ensures that the knife is securely fixed during sharpening. Using ultra strong magnets and a stable control pad, there is up to 70% more grip with the HORL®3. With improved grip, it’s even better for holding small blades so that they can be sharpened consistently and reproducibly at the desired height.
From the beach
to your kitchen
The best plastic is one that already exists. Together with our regional partners in the Black Forest, we add a small amount of pigment to colour the #tide Ocean material. This gives the HORL ®3 Cruise a light sandy look, reminiscent of its origins.
