11/05/19 – All Meat Smoke Fire cooking classes for 2020 have been cancelled

Group Classes

Due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, and with guidance from the government rgarding social distancing, we have taken the decision to cancel all group classes at this stage in 2020.

If guidance changes we will look to reschedule the group classes later in the year.

Our group classes are designed to be a great fun day out, and while it may be allowed to hold them with social distancing, we don’t belive this will give you the experience we want you to have.

Private Classes

With Nic from Meat Smoke Fire

Nic will cancel all of his private classes until social distancing has been lifted. Nic is taking this measure for both customer and his own safety.

With Julie Connor, who operates independently from Meat Smoke Fire Limited

Julie, to whom Meat Smoke Fire give some customer referrals, will be in contact about her classes independently, and between you, you can decide whether you want to run them with social distancing. These classes are not being run by Meat Smoke Fire Limited and your contract is with Julie Connor directly.

26/3/2020 – March and April group classes

All classes in March and April have been cancelled. We will review future classes at the end of this three week lock down period (14/4/2020).

Those who’ve had a class cancelled have been offered the following three options:

  1. We can issue you with a coupon code that will allow you to re-book a class as soon as we are back up and running. We will offer these dates to you 1 week in advance of releasing them to the general public. This will ensure you have priority booking on available classes. We have kept October free this year and will make sure we host classes, if restrictions are lifted.
    • Your coupon code will be valid for group class bookings until the end of 2021. If we increase the class price next year, we will honour this year’s price for you, even if you choose to wait to rebook until next year.
  2. We can give you a coupon code to the value of £200 to use on anything from our site. https://meatsmokefire.co.uk/shop/
  3. We can refund your booking in full.

16/3/2020 – Breaking news

I will be contacting all customers with classes booked for March and April in the next day. We will have to cancel these classes based on todays Coronavirus update from the government.

We will review classes for May onwards at a later date. Please bear with us.

13/3/2020 – Coronavirus and Meat Smoke Fire Cooking Classes

With all the information about Coronavirus currently on everyone’s minds Julie, Helena and I, wanted to reassure all our customers that we are very much looking forward to welcoming you to your chosen class.

We are keeping calm and positive and preparing for all our upcoming classes as usual, as we continue our busy schedule.

Should the situation change we will update you accordingly, but we have been given no reason to believe this will be the case thus far.

Obviously, working with food means that we always adhere to the strictest hygiene practices.

If you do have any questions one of us will be happy to chat.

We hope this gives you reassurance that whilst taking the matter seriously, we are committed to making your experience safe, fun and memorable.

Private Classes

If you feel you are unwell, or are worried you are in a high risk group, where a deposit for a class has been taken, we will give you the opportunity to postpone your class to a mutually agreed new date. We are already very booked up this year at weekends, therefore if you choose to move your class, it may have to be rescheduled for next year if you are set on a weekend appointment.

Obviously if one of us becomes ill, we will cancel the class with you and refund your deposit.

Group Classes

All of our group classes will take place as scheduled unless official advice dictates otherwise. If you feel you do not want to attend a class, we fully understand, but being a small business, we will treat this like any other cancellation.

If we become ill and have to self isolate, we will cancel affected classes and offer a full refund or a credit note to use on a future class.
