We're big fans of Globaltic's Birch Charcoal. The bags contain big chunks of lump wood that burn well on the Big Green Egg. The bigger chunks help with airflow through your Egg, and make getting to temperature and maintaining it easily.

The silver birch lump wood isn't too smokey, so it won't overpower your cook.

Produced in the Ukraine, from native birch forests. The charcoal is produced from birch sourced from plywood manufacturers. To them, it is a waste product as the whole tree can not be used. This waste is turned into 'black gold'.
