The Ash Tool is the only compulsory accessory that you need when you buy a Big Green Egg.ย Use the ash tool to remove excess ash, which collects at the bottom of your Egg. Put the end through the draft door and use the hook to scrape the ash out into a pan.
It’s important to clear out this ash every six or so cooks so that you maintain Eggcellent airflow!ย The ash tool is also really handy to rake your charcoal every time you use it in advance of loading with more fuel.
