HORL

HORL – quite simply the best knife sharpeners we have ever used.

We’ve tried whetstones, sharpeners you pull your blade through, steels, electric sharpeners and a whole bunch of other sharpeners. Then one day I ordered a HORL. As soon as it arrived and I’d used it on just one knife, I knew it was a game changer. We emailed HORL to become stockists the very next day.

The key to the HORLs success is that the magnetic knife holder, holds the knife at the perfect angle. You then run the roller up and down the blade. You know you’ve got the right angle for your blade.

A whetstone is great, but holding the angle is near impossible, so you never get the results.

We’ve tried the knock offs so you don’t need to. Their magnets are much weaker, meaning the knif isn’t held at the angle you want. The bearings and buold of the roller are awful. And then there are the disks, they’re not a patch on the quality of the HORL, so the grinding surface wears out quickly.
