Meater
We’ve tried many thermometers that give you readings while you are cooking. The Meater is our thermometer of choice for the Meat Smoke Fire cookery school for the following reasons:
- It’s wireless, which makes using it so much simpler. It also means you can use it to cook food on a rotisserie.
- The software on the app is better than anything else we’ve used. There may be cheaper wireless probes, but the value is in the software that controls them, and this is great, giving you details of your cook as it happens and also saving it all so you can refer back.
- The probe is thinner than the competition and the new Pro version of the Meater can handle temperatures of 550°C.
