Quick Pickled Red Onion Salad

This quick pickled red onion salad add in instant hit of vibrant colour and tanginess together with some texture to a dish.

This pickle can be made ahead, and takes very little time and effort to make.  You can also increase the volume and it keeps well in a sealed container in the fridge for a few days.

We particularly like to add this pickle to our Chicken Katsu Curry or Chicken Kati Roll.

 

Ingredients

  • 1 red onion, finely sliced
  • juice of half a lemon
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar

    Method

    1. Place all the ingedients in a bowl.  Give it a zhush and set aside until ready to serve.
    2. The pickle can be made ahead and stored in an airtight container in the fridge for a few days.
